I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Staunton, Virginia. I have over 30 years of experience in helping people with personal, work, and health challenges.
I was born in Huntington, West Virginia, but spent most of my life in Atlanta, Georgia. My education was at Georgia Institute of Technology for my B.S. and Georgia State University for my Ph.D. Recently, I spent 22 years working as a psychologist at Western State Hospital in Staunton. Through all of this I’ve helped many people through rough times in their lives. It’s been a privilege to be allowed to do so.
I’ve always loved nature, making art, reading, gardening, and laughing with friends. Today I live in Staunton with three dogs, two cats, and the numerous birds and squirrels in my yard.
I know that you can get past hard times and live the life you want, because I’ve been through my own personal, work, and health challenges. I’m grateful for my optimism, creativity, respect for others, warmth, and sense of humor. I bring these qualities to my work as a psychotherapist.
